Calaveras is an unhurried, rural county, with a slower pace of
life. People are friendly and have time to talk. Stop in at any
of the wineries for free wine tasting. Meet the winery
owners and the winemakers to learn all about the wines they
offer. Each of the wineries has its own personality and its own
specialty wines.
Many of the wineries have tasting rooms in downtown Murphys,
enabling you to walk from tasting room to tasting room, while
strolling through gift and antique shops and dining at fine
restaurants. And don't forget that there are excellent
accommodations for lodging as well!
